The FC Seattle Storm Academy is directed by Stuart Lee, who played 10 years of English Professional soccer, followed by 8 years in the NASL (North American Soccer League) and the M.I.S.L (Major Indoor Soccer League) in the United States. He signed professional papers at the age of 17ys, for Bolton Wanderers, Bolton, England and played for several teams including Manchester City, before coming to Portland, Oregon in 1980. His first team in the USA was the Portland Timbers who played in the N.A.S.L. (North American Soccer League).

Stuart is currently the President Seattle Storm Inc., and Director of FC Seattle Storm, and is a USSF. "A" Licensed coach that has been training and coaching players since 1984.
